Message to the Students, Staff, and Faculty of PACE International Seminary
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
As we begin a new month, I want to encourage each of you with the words of the Apostle Paul, who wrote in Philippians 3:7-8:
“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.”
Paul, once a man of great status, learned that no worldly achievement or possession could compare to the glory of knowing Christ and serving Him wholeheartedly. He was willing to count everything as worthless in order to pursue a life of obedience to God’s call.
In the same way, we have been called as disciples of Christ to follow Him wherever He leads us. Our studies, teaching, and ministry are not ends in themselves but tools to draw us closer to Christ and equip us for His mission. Let us, therefore, not be distracted by worldly ambitions but fix our eyes on the eternal prize—Christ Himself.
I challenge you to reflect on the following question: What are you willing to surrender for the sake of Christ? Paul’s testimony reminds us that the path of discipleship requires sacrifice but leads to transformation, joy, and life eternal.
As we continue in our academic and spiritual journey this semester, may we encourage one another to grow in faith, humility, and service. Let our work and relationships on this campus reflect the values of the Kingdom of God, bringing honor and glory to His name.
May the peace of Christ be with you all.
In His service,
Dr. Rev. Kwangsong Jeon
